MORTEN TILLITZ

MORTEN TILLITZ

(DK)

Morten Tillitz is a renowned visual artist known for his abstract and expressive works, where colors, shapes, and emotions take center stage. His art strikes a balance between the intuitive and the conceptual, creating a visual universe that invites contemplation and reflection. Tillitz often reuses materials from earlier works, incorporating a sense of brutality as a creative force. While his pieces may appear complete, they remain subject to transformation, sometimes being cut down beyond recognition. This process leaves traces of their history embedded in the material. Over the past two decades, he has been a prominent part of Stalke Gallery, participating in both solo and group exhibitions, earning widespread attention and recognition for his work.

This work is an attempt to launch a statement of the portrait genre, which has been used Passport top of each other, and a Punch in its use skills to create the distance and abstraction.
