Anne Bennike who works with installation, painting and performance. Her works explore themes such as the body, mind, and spirituality, often in relation to modern materialism and consumer culture. In the series Material Tantra I and II (2007), the traditional chakras are replaced with material objects like medicine and drugs, creating a tension between the spiritual and the material. Bennike is a significant voice in Danish contemporary art, reflecting on how our lifestyle impacts our relationship with both body and spirit.
