PEOPLE FROM THE STREET
Artstamp goes beyond the walls of galleries and into public spaces, inviting people on the street to interact with the art. By placing stamps in everyday environments, Artstamp creates an opportunity for spontaneous engagement with art, breaking free from the traditional gallery frame.
Sam Jedig encourages people from all walks of life to engage with these stamps, holding them as an invitation to interact with the artwork. Every time a photo is taken of someone holding an Artstamp, it becomes part of the project's ongoing documentation. These photos are collected in an archive, showcasing how the art travels and meets different people and cultures. Each of these moments captures a shared experience, where art and the public come together, and the simple act of holding a stamp becomes a personal connection with the work.
Through this process, Artstamp transforms the idea of art from a private or elitist experience into a shared one, where everyone can become part of the artwork’s journey. Each interaction with Artstamp invites reflection and turns public spaces into a gallery open to all.
